My friends at ‘World Resorts of Distinction’ (a creative marketing agency and resort representation company for luxury, sustainable resorts) sure do know great resorts and they are completely on my wave length when it comes to what constitutes a great property, that is not only good for your soul, but GREAT for the environment too!
Their portfolio includes some of the best hotels in the world, and working with partners like WRD allows me to have access to the best offers, and obtain all of the latest insight on some of the most sought after resorts in the world.

Beach Bars we Dream About
Dip your toes in the sand, revel in the warmth of the sun kissing your skin, order a cocktail (or nine) and prepare to lose your entire day to a state of beach bar induced bliss.

The Boat House, Bawah Reserve’s gorgeous beach bar, is a little piece of paradise on the shores of the resort’s east beach that oozes a relaxed ambience.
The venue is at one with its surroundings – boasting panoramic views overlooking the lagoon, with a contemporary, bohemian vibe punctuated with chilled lounge melodies. Enjoy lunch, dinner and drinks here and a fresh, creative and modern à la carte menu. A great BBQ venue or relax in a swing chair with an ice cold beer.
Just bare footsteps from the sea, the Nio Beach Club offers open-aired pavilions and the Kapten’s Goa (Captain’s Cave) serving the highest quality of fresh ingredients for lunch: whether it is a fish just caught from sea, delicious vegetables and legumes from the resort’s three thriving organic gardens, items from the grill, daily rotisserie or pizzas fresh from a wood-fired clay oven, the Chef and his brigade will satiate your appetite with sumptuously healthy dishes. The newest addition is a state-of-the-art resort lap pool with soothing, cooling, and epic views of the ocean, sunsets, Occy’s Left and local village life during low tides.
North Beach, Soneva Kiri’s private beach a short speed-boat ride from the resort’s main jetty, is a stretch of pure white sands and crystal-clear waters that rivals the beaches of the Maldives.
You can spend the day here enjoying complimentary non-motorised water sports such as paddle boarding and kayaking or relaxing in the shade of a luscious palm grove. There’s also a restaurant, featuring a daily rotating menu of international favourites, and one of the most charming and classic beach bars we’ve ever encountered.
Aptly named the Coconut Bar, it boasts a mouth-watering cocktail list and selection of beer and wine, but we highly recommend the Chilli Margarita or the Basil Tom Collins!
The Beach Club at The Anam – a luxury resort situated on the secluded shores of northern Cam Ranh peninsula in Vietnam – is a waterfront wining and dining destination where you can enjoy ice-cold beers, refreshing cocktails and a variety of delicious snacks in a casual setting.
Sit back and soak up the soothing views over Vietnam’s deepest bay!
On the sun-drenched southern tip of Mykonos, Scorpios is one of the very rare beach locations on the island that offers uninterrupted views across the open sea.
There are multiple bohemian-luxe oceanfront nooks to enjoy a refreshing beverage but one of our favourites is the Terrace.
Set high above the beach affording stunning views over Paraga and Kavos lagoons and beyond into the vastness of the Aegean Sea, the Terrace is both the prime seclusion and meet-and-mingle social spot at Scorpios.
Repose, in the sun or in the shade, have a glass of chilled wine, read a good book, dream, contemplate, slide into soulful melodies and a soft groove, and breathe the breeze.
