Are you a keen photographer, budding photographer or just have a keen interest in Travel Photography? Well, I invite you to uncover the mysteries of Bhutan on COMO’s inaugural photography expedition, where you’ll not only discover mystical Bhutan, but you’ll be joined by award-winning photographer Michael Turek.
It was only fairly recently that the isolated kingdom of Bhutan opened its doors to foreign visitors, and in the decades since, the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” has evolved into a coveted high-end travel destination, its ancient traditions untainted by over tourism. This could be because it is a little tricky to get to, and it’s not necessarily a ‘cheap’ destination to travel to (as the Bhutan government are wary of allowing too many travellers into Bhutan, so there is a minimum daily spend), but it’s rich culture, unspoiled scenery and fresh mountain air certainly makes the trip worthwhile, and definitely one for the bucket list.
This COMO Journey will have you join British-American photographer and Kodak ambassador Michael Turek for an ‘Eight-Day Himalayan Photography Expedition’, where he will teach you his methods of shooting on film. There are now only a few spaces remaining on this trip, which opens up this Himalayan Kingdom with stays at sister hotels COMO Uma Paro and COMO Uma Punakha – voted first-and second-best in Asia by Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
Eight days in this spiritual country will allow you to slow down completely and feel inspired by Bhutan’s majestic beauty.
Photographers of any level have the opportunity to learn how to capture intimate and thoughtful photographs on film with the help of Michael. His guiding eye will take any photography skills to new heights, while the journey will lead you into the heart of Bhutan, along pristine rivers meandering through wide valleys, to monasteries clinging to sheer cliffs.
